Vacuum flow forming process steps - wet and dry

The vacuum forming process is typically "SCRIMP" (Seeman composite resin impregnation technique), RIF1 (flexible film resin impregnation technique), VARI (vacuum assisted RTM), and SPRINT (SP resin impregnation technique). These molding processes are generally a process in which the gas in the fiber reinforcement is removed under vacuum, and the resin is impregnated by the flow and penetration of the resin, and solidified at room temperature to form a certain resin/fiber ratio.

    Most of these processes only need a single-sided rigid mold for laying the fiber reinforcement; the mold only simplifies the mold manufacturing process and saves the cost to ensure that the structural profile meets the requirements, and some of the upper molds are flexible vacuum bag films; The entire process is carried out at room temperature without heating; only one vacuum pressure is required, no additional pressure is required.

    For our production of large wind blades, this process can effectively reduce the resin content and increase the fiber content, thereby increasing the strength of the FRP and reducing the weight of the blade. And greatly reduce labor intensity and improve production efficiency. Of course, the development of the process is always inseparable from the matching and development of raw materials. Most of the vacuum forming processes mentioned above are technical requirements. The most important requirement is the reinforcement materials. In addition to the strength requirements of the materials, It can act as a flow channel during resin flow. Traditional fiberglass products such as felts and cloths cannot meet this requirement, and only composite woven fabrics and stitched fabrics can have such effects.
