Changes in permeability and permeability of glass fiber reinforced materials

All fiberglass reinforced materials, permeability, and penetration are affected by fiber diameter, number of strands Tex, and fiber dispersion.Permeability describes the wetting of glass fibers.The penetration property describes the ability of a resin to permeate multiple layers of reinforced materials.
Two examples: glass fiber thin felt extremely fine microstructure infiltration is very fast, because fiber dispersion is good, single fiber diameter is small and fiber surface quality is high.But the resin was unable to penetrate the underlayer of the thin felt.In fact, if air is carried into the resin, the bubbles may become permanent cavities in the laminated product.
On the other hand, continuous raw silk felt made of roving usually has excellent penetration, allowing the resin and air to pass through the frame quickly. Single filaments in roving felt may be wetted more slowly in a large bundle, but bubbles are more likely to escape from the laminatstructure.
In summary, fiberglass reinforced materials have so many changes that they can affect the final product.There are also many ways to optimize composite materials to achieve the desired performance of end users.The best strategy is to work with the material supplier to ensure the desired effect.
